We specialise in minimising the appearance of braces during treatment for our adult patients by offering clear (ceramic) braces, Invisalign (clear plastic, removable aligners), and lingual braces (braces that are placed on the back surface of your teeth). 

Clear braces don't affect your appearance

Clear braces, which use tooth-coloured ceramic brackets, are an excellent option for those who want to minimise the appearance of braces during treatment. We can also use an archwire coated with tooth-coloured paint and clear ligatures (elastic bands) to further minimise their appearance. These braces are very similar to traditional metal braces in their effectiveness. We typically use clear braces on front teeth and metal braces on back teeth.

Invisalign - new technology for straightening teeth

Invisalign is a popular way to straighten teeth and create beautiful smiles without brackets or wires. Using a series of clear plastic, removable aligners that fit snugly over your teeth, Invisalign is a virtually invisible, yet comfortable treatment option.

Lingual braces - nearly invisible treatment

Another option that is popular among our adult patients is lingual braces. These braces are placed on the back surface of the tooth, the lingual (tongue) side. It can take a little while for a patient’s tongue to adjust to the brackets, and while it does your speech can be affected slightly, but this doesn't last long.

Traditional metal braces - still an excellent option

Traditional metal braces continue to be an excellent option for correcting a misaligned bite, straightening teeth and enhancing your smile. These types of braces, while more visible than other options, are very effective at moving and aligning teeth.
