Practice Manager

I was born and raised in South Africa where I completed my schooling and went on to study a Diploma in Beauty Technology. I enjoyed many years of working in the industry and opened a successful salon of my own.

In January 2014, along with my husband Glenn, and our two beautiful children, we emigrated to Australia and settled here on the Sunshine Coast. Change brings with it a lot of positives. After studying a Certificate III in Business Administration (Medical), I was fortunate enough to be offered a reception position with Dr Vas. Working my way up and learning more skills I am currently busy with my Diploma of Practice Management.

Although we miss our friends and family, living here on the Sunshine Coast has been amazing. We love the outdoors and take full advantage of living on such a beautiful coastline. I love coming to work every day in such a positive environment, and working with such an amazing team. The wonderful results are so rewarding to see.

I am passionate about Orthodontics and very proud of the stunning smiles Dr Vas and our great team create for our patients!Both my children and I have experienced the ease of Invisalign treatment.

I enjoy continuing my education and diversifying my qualifications in the dental industry. Before joining Invisible Orthodontics I travelled extensively during my career as a Flight Attendant, and I still love to get away at every opportunity.

Any spare time I love to spend with my husband, kids, and ‘fur baby’ Louie, making the most of living on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, going to the beach, latin dancing, bike riding and dining out.

I have worked in Orthodontics my whole working career and love the fact that we get to change our patient’s lives by giving them amazing smiles. There is something special about seeing our patient’s develop a new sense of confidence that they didn’t have before. In my spare time I enjoy nothing more than taking my English Bull Terrier, Brixton, for walks or to the beach. I also enjoy op-shopping and anything rockabilly or retro.

Having spent most of my formative years on the beautiful Sunshine Coast and previously worked in orthodontics here, it was a pleasure to return to both the Coast, and the industry of making people smile brighter, after a period in which I lived and worked across Australia in the mining industry. Desiring a sea change and career change, I returned home to this beautiful part of the world to study Biomedical Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast, through which I intend to work in medical research, with a special interest in molecular biology and genetics. As a part of the most amazing team of people here at Invisible Orthodontics, I thoroughly enjoy working in reception and as a dental assistant, through which I am lucky enough to build relationships with our lovely patients. I’m a firm believer that a great smile is the most attractive curve we can own, so it’s incredibly rewarding to be a part of bringing this about for our wonderful patients.

I am originally from the amazing Sunshine Coast but have had the privilege of living and working in America and Canada and travelling to various countries around the world. I have worked in the dental industry for 13 years as a dental assistant, receptionist and practice manager. I currently hold a Certificate III in Dental Assisting and a Diploma in Management and would love to one day further my studies in the field of dentistry. I am very interested in orthodontics and love being able to watch patients grow with their ever changing beautiful smiles. During a break from dentistry, I was fortunate enough to work in the film industry as a Produce, Costume Designer and Special FX artist. In my spare time I love hanging out with my family and friends, sharing a glass of wine, going to the beach and relaxing watching a good movie.
